Dear Eagle & Hawk fans, friends, and the greater community,

We release Great Divide, our latest song and video, in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement as one of the millions lending their voice to end racism.

On May 25, 2020, we witnessed another senseless murder of a Black man in the United States at the hands of police. This devastating loss prompted an uprising of voices crying out for change across the US and around the world. The Black Lives Matter movement has not only garnered attention for racial inequities in policing but also led Americans and global communities to acknowledge that racism continues on a deep, systemic level across numerous institutions.

In the midst of these protests, we felt the time was now for this song to carry its message and speak to the Great Divide we are feeling. It is our hope that this song inspires further awareness and understanding.

We are releasing this song and video as a reflection of our thoughts and feelings on the societal crisis unfolding before our eyes.

The final sentiment of the song, you’ll hear the lyrics, “got to stop the great divide, come a little closer”. We hope this track leaves you with the sentiment that the divide between us must not grow deeper. The work must be done together. We believe this work can start with a song or a conversation and move from relationships to communities to the our interconnected global consciousness.

You can listen to the Great Divide everywhere you stream music and in our support to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, we are donating 100% of all BandCamp and iTunes sales of Great Divide to Black Lives Matter global network.
